• Thi-Qar province considers one of the mixed foci cutaneous and visceral leishmaniasis, which is considered as widely health problem an uncontrolled disease. The phylogenetic relationship sequncing analysis L. tropica isolates have not been studied before in local area. nested PCR assay a suitable method for identifying Leishmania parasites clinical samples. Kinetoplast DNA minicircle gene has showed high sensitivity specificity to characterize parasite. kDNA sequences results variation that decrease whenever approached from Iranian border. This means L.tropica may transmit Iran. Cutaneous leishmaniasis (CL) wobbling endemic disease Iraq, cause intracellular obligate protistan parasite returned genus . study aimed identify epidemiology CL, detect prevalence find relationship. current was conducted main hospitals province-south Iraq period November 2018 October 2019.
